City Health Dashoard

As the COVID-19 pandemic now touches all fifty states, we recognize what a challenging time this is for everyone. City leaders, community groups, educators, public health professionals, health care workers – all of our users – are finding ways to protect and serve those most vulnerable, while settling into their own “new normal” personally. We want you to know that City Health Dashboard is – as always – committed to providing rigorous data on health and its drivers at the city- and census tract-level, as well as tools and resources for cities to take action on health.

Here are some ways the Dashboard may be a useful resource for you during this time:

  • For any educators looking for engaging tools for distance learning, from middle school to graduate school, please go here for ways to use the Dashboard for education.

  • With people spending more time indoors, city leaders can think about unique risks and how to help mitigate them for particularly vulnerable populations.  For example, Limited Access to Healthy Foods can highlight neighborhoods where food delivery could be of particular value.

  • Our Virtual Office Hours continue monthly: please register here and join us for as many as your schedule allows. Office Hours are a great way to learn the basics of the Dashboard and explore your data and get your questions answered live with the team.

  • In the coming weeks, we will be sifting through new resources for cities to respond to COVID and its impacts on the well-being of residents. Visit our response page here and check back often as we add these resources and tools to the site: www.cityhealthdashboard.com/covid19.

Be sure to subscribe to our mailing list for Dashboard news. Data updates and more cities are coming soon, and we are committed to maintaining the Dashboard as a free and trusted resource for city policymakers, community leaders and educators across the U.S.
