Calling All Small Cities! Put Us on the Map Challenge 2026

Jun. 1, 2026

Announcing the 2026 Put Us on the Map Challenge

Join the City Health Dashboard to gain access to 30+ measures of health and factors that shape health for your city!

Since 2018, the City Health Dashboard has provided city and community leaders with regularly updated data specific to neighborhood and/or city boundaries. The Dashboard now offers data on over 30 measures that can drive changes that improve health and well-being – such as life expectancy, park access, and children in poverty. The Dashboard currently provides data for 1,225 cities. We concentrated first on cities with populations of 50,000 and up, but smaller cities often asked to be added. So often that in 2022 we launched our Put Us on the Map challenge, through which we’ve already added 185 smaller cities.

For the past four years, we’ve provided smaller cities the chance to join the Dashboard and access the rich data and resources that we offer to cities across the country. Through this Challenge, small U.S. cities can gain access to a one-stop resource to view and compare data to guide local solutions that create healthier and more equitable communities.

Join us to help improve health and wellbeing in your city! Applications will be accepted June 1-30, 2026. Selected cities will be notified this summer, with data available starting this winter.
