The City Health Dashboard is turning 1! It's hard to believe that just one year ago we were anxiously prepping to launch the Dashboard and hoping our tool would reach the hands of the policymakers, health workers, researchers, and community leaders (to name just a few) working to make change and improve the health of their constituents. It's been an exciting and busy year: We've added a new measure, updated 80% of our metrics with more recent years of data, launched City Spotlight, and connected with new audiences on social media and at conferences across the country. We've also gotten the privilege to hear from our community of users and learn how they have been using the Dashboard in their work to advance health and equity for all residents in their community. Coming in June, the City Health Dashboard will give cities additional data and resources to dig deeper into neighborhood- and city-specific data for our 37 measures of health and the factors that shape health for the 500 largest cities across the U.S. The website will be updated to make it even more user-friendly, informative, and actionable to help guide local solutions that create healthier and more equitable communities.
