Evanston Community Fridges acquires two new units as group sees ‘significant increase’ in demand

Evanston Community Fridges, a community-run mutual-aid food network, will expand its operation with two new fridges located at Grace Lutheran Church, 1430 South Blvd., and St. Andrew’s Pentecost Episcopal Church, 1928 Darrow Ave.

The St. Andrew’s fridge will be near the Fifth Ward, where health morbidities are high, according to data from the Evanston City Health Dashboard.
